Greenfield Conservation Society has been awarded a $3.2 million grant from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to expand our wetland restoration efforts along the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
"This funding will allow us to accelerate our restoration timeline and protect critical habitat for dozens of migratory bird species," said Executive Director Dr. Sarah Chen.
The grant will fund the restoration of an additional 1,500 acres of wetland habitat over the next three years, bringing the total project area to 4,500 acres.
