Record Eagle Nesting Season Marks Conservation Milestone

Bald eagle nesting

This year's bald eagle nesting survey has recorded the highest number of active nests in the society's 25-year monitoring history. A total of 68 active nests were documented across our monitoring region, up from 52 last year.

"This is a testament to decades of habitat protection and pollution reduction efforts," said wildlife biologist Dr. James Morton. "Each nest represents a pair of eagles choosing our protected areas as safe places to raise their young."
